The Mission of Orphan’s Joy

  1. Mission Statement: Blessing orphans around the world in the name of Jesus.
  2. We define orphans as children whose parents/family are no longer caring for them, and they are abandoned.
  3. Our ministry is for orphans “around the world,” which means that we will look for the neediest places where we can effectively serve.
  4. By God’s grace, blessings will include physical and spiritual responses that proclaim Jesus in word and deed.
  5. “In the name of Jesus,” means that faith in Jesus is at the core of those who serve with us, and His Gospel is shared in the work.
  6. Our process of blessing is to strategically promote trustworthy relationships, sustainability, accountability, and integrity in finances and reporting.
  7. When our ministry is working well it will look like this: Servants providing care to orphans, speaking and teaching of Jesus, and orphans following Jesus as they begin their own families and lead their communities and churches.
  8. A wonderful photo showing our ministry would be a intergenerational group of joyful people hugging and smiling.  Each person would have a story to tell of God’s blessings.
  9. A key biblical text for our ministry is in the words of Jesus from Mt. 19:14: “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
  10. Others can share in this ministry by praying, giving, volunteering (nationals and international guests) always looking for connections to the local church.
